My new headshots! {Rhode Island Wedding Photographer | Andrea Jay}

So now that I've shot my last wedding of 2013 (Congrats Anna and Kenley!), I'll hopefully be able to catch up on some blogging!  Fall was ah.maz.ing.  I am so stoked to be sharing some images from the couples I've had the privilege of photographing.

Over the winter I'll also be doing some minor re-tuning of my brand.  First step - A new headshot (new?  Ok, this is my *first* headshot).  My husband had a bit of coaching from yours truly, but I think he nailed it!  Also, my darling little C wanted to see what all the fuss was about!

Mine {Rhode Island Children's Photographer}

Happy Thanksgiving!
Its been a while since I posted one of my Baby W, well, he isn't a baby anymore!  He looks more and more like a little boy everyday!  We visited my favorite field in Northwest RI last week.

Much Love, Andrea

Worth It {Rhode Island Baby Photographer}

As a new-newborn, my own Baby W was only sleepy for about five days.  He was always so awake, alert, and hungry, and crying...oh, the crying.  I was in a fog, disoriented from the lack of sleep.  "Sleep when the baby sleeps" they say, but I just so wanted to cuddle and look at him, so much for that.  I missed out on getting photos of my sleepy newborn.

Well, slow and steady wins the race.  All the ingredients were coming together nicely during a family trip to Orlando:  Baby is exhausted from travel, the excitement of seeing all the sites, and the humidity, freedom for me of all of the travails that I squeeze in during Baby W's naps, after all it is vacation.

Enjoy photography of my dreamy...practically-a-toddler, eleven month old baby.  I think it was well worth the wait.

Enjoy today.  A

The Paper Mama

Baby, It's Spring Time.

The weather in the Ocean State was out of this world last week, particularly since the harsh winters I've always experienced in my former life as a Montrealer are still fresh in my mind.  I. have. experienced. the. depths.

What a pleasure it was to bring Baby W out into the yard in a short sleeved shirt of all things to capture him getting aquainted with the pleasures of dried grass and soak up the rays on an unseasonably warm March evening.

Cheers, A

Eat with Your Hands

Meet Baby W, his sweet face will be gracing the pages of this blog often as he is my son, muse and generally wonderful, not that I'm biased.

Baby W exercises his new found dexterity by putting everything in his mouth.  Luckily, that includes food sometimes.

Linking up with The Paper Mama Photo Challenge for the first time ever, this weeks theme is "hands".

Cheers!
